Immerso nel verde incontaminato della campagna Toscana a Monticiano in provincia di Siena, con un passato da “Fagianaia”, dove venivano allevati fagiani, cinghiali e altri animali selvatici, l’Agriturismo Casetta della Pina nel 2010 vede l’inizio dei lavori di recupero, con l’intento del proprietario di mantenere inalterate le caratteristiche di semplicità e accoglienza tipiche dei casali toscani.
Tutte le opere in legno, travi e travetti, scale, finestre, sono artigianali e con legno dell’azienda boschiva.

The Il Sasso di San Galgano farmhouse was born from the desire to give life to something that the “old” have given us, a farmhouse nestled in the splendid Val di Merse, (between Chiusdino and San Galgano) an area rich in natural, historical and Tuscan traditions.
The name derives from the story of San Galgano, a medieval knight who chose the life of a hermit, refusing war, and right where the farmhouse stands, the horse knelt on a stone leaving the imprints of his knees.
Thanks to its position it is possible to reach Siena, the sea of the Tuscan Maremma and Florence.
Agricultural activity is carried out on 60 hectares of land in which woods and arable land alternate.
The agritourism offers an ideal holiday for those who want to immerse themselves in traditions, colors and a family atmosphere.
La Via dell’Oliviera
A family-run farm that includes an accomodation facility built in a typical Tuscan stone house with the olf oil mill of the town.
The farmhouse is composed by the Manor House “Giovanna’s House”, where the guests can sit in the rooms, an authentic expression of our land that retain the traditional “terracotta” floors and typical ceilings with exposed beams, or stay in the apartments with kitchen.
At the disposal of all our guests there is a large garden Equipped with tables and chairs and the new swimming pool where you can cool off on hot tuscan days.
Our cuisine enhances the flavours of the territory, using typical products and at km0. The hall is set up inside the ancient oil mill, but on warm summer evenings, our guests can dine under the stars of our garden. All the dishes on our menu will be paired with the best wines of the area. You will taste the cuisine of Chef Gio, a professional in the trade.
The owners offer to advise and organize some activities for their guests such as horse riding, mountain biking or trekking, tuscan cooking lezzons or wine and oil tastings.

Right in front of the Abbey stands the San Galgano farm, an old farmhouse used as a farmhouse, with an adjacent garden for guests to relax.
With its 12 rooms, each with private bathroom, the San Galgano farm is able to welcome you and guarantee you moments of relaxation and absolute tranquility.
